To use the hull repair module, stand in front of it and hold R until the bar at the bottom of the screen fills up. Therefore, it is not recommended to repair the hull unless it is damaged by 200 or more integrity. If the hull is damaged by less than 200 integrity, repairing the hull will waste the excess integrity. This module uses one scrap to repair the hull integrity by 200. The signal processor can help the pilot locate nearby scrap. Scrap has three uses: repairing the URV's hull, replenishing torpedoes, and upgrading components/ weapons. It also does not need to be processed like it does on a starship collecting scrap will automatically process it.
